The holistic approach of our FBEAM® software, when used with our FIREBEAM® add-on, considers both the design at ambient temperature and fire limit states for Fabsec cellular beams. It allows structural and consulting engineers to add mass and openings where truly necessary.
The key component is our software allows optimisation of the steel and the Intumescent passive fire protection paint offering a truly sustainable solution. Whole life cycle embodied carbon calculations can be provided at an individual element level as required. In addition it offers BIM links to Tekla Structural Designer and RAM Structures.
The FBEAM software is third party verified and accredited by the SCI
FABSEC and FIREBEAM® cellular beams are typically used in floor spans of 8-24 metres and roof spans of up to 60 metres, they require fewer columns, which affords greater design flexibility and architectural freedom.
Our fabricated cellular beams are fabricated out of plate which has been analysed and designed within the FBEAM software and procured from one of our licensed fabricators, Severfield Plc and Cellbeam Ltd a subsidiary of William Hare Limited. The FIREBEAM® uses innovative coating technologies from Sherwin Williams UK Coatings Limited.
Our fabricators are certified BIM Stage 2 and after more than 20 years have an extensive back catalogue of projects where we can share information to aid future reuse
This gives both the specifying engineer and the client the confidence that the beam is designed and produced in accordance with industry leading standards.
